Uptown Community Health Center was created to carry forward a long tradition of compassionate care in our community.
On January 12, 2022, three clinics—Bruner Family Medicine, Caritas Internal Medicine, and Seton Women’s Center—came together to form Uptown Community Health Center. These clinics were once part of Saint Joseph Hospital, Colorado’s oldest teaching hospital, and were home base sites for its Graduate Medical Education programs.
We became a stand-alone nonprofit organization so we could serve our patients as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike. This change allows us to focus on our mission: providing high-quality care to everyone, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
Although we are now independent, we maintain a close relationship with Saint Joseph Hospital, and our resident providers continue to be trained under the guidance of its physicians. In doing so, we carry on the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, ensuring that our community receives excellent, affordable care—now and for generations to come.
