Jonathan Lurie, MBA, MPP

Jonathan Lurie is an accomplished finance officer with over 25 years of experience supporting state government, universities and academic health medical centers, and non-profit safety net healthcare. Born and raised in Phoenix, Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan. He also received his MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado. Prior to Uptown Community Health Center, Jonathan was Director of Administration and Finance at Kids First Health Care where he helped the pediatric primary care safety net grow from school-based health centers to a financially stable hub-and-spoke model of stand-alone community clinics with school clinic sites.  Jonathan has a passion for inclusive early childhood education and was on the Board of Sewall Child Development Center preschool from 2010 to 2023. He’s lived in Denver for 30 years and loves spending time with family, getting to the mountains, and running (a lot slower than he used to).
